"But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach (purely and solemnly express Him) him among the Gentiles.." Galatians 1:15-16
"The call of God is not a call to serve Him in any particular way. My contact with the nature of God will shape my understanding of His call and will help me realize what I truly desire to do for Him... Service is the overflow of which pours from a life filled with love and devotion... Service is what I bring to the relationship and is the reflection of my identification with the nature of God... Service is an expression of my nature, and God's call is an expression of His nature... The Son of God reveals Himself in me, and out of devotion to Him service becomes my everyday way of life." - Chambers

I found this little lady at a local dirt cheap thrift store for - get this - only $15! I was so excited when I first saw it and wondered to myself just how many people must have passed it up before I came along. What a treat for a lomo lover like myself to be able to pick it up! I bought a plastic fisheye lomo a couple of years back and have definitely had my share of fun with it. All I need is some film and I'm ready to go.. photos to come.

Some food for thought..
As the Christmas and New Years holiday and festivities come to an end, I find myself  thinking of resolutions for this next year.
  1. Smile often
  2. Develop a discipline and stick to a running schedule. Get fit and do it for me.
  3. Go on a roadtrip
  4. Take more pictures!
  5. Stick to THIS.
  6. Learn to play a full song on piano. Maybe
  7. Volunteer. More!
  8. Have a hand in bringing another closer to Christ

Pattons adorn the wall of my Grandfather's office at his workplace. His contributions, advances and innovations in the field of chemistry beautifully illustrate a man's life work devoted to his research. He is by far one of the most brilliant men I am blessed to know and call my family.

Somewhere in the heart of East Texas we are relieved to not be in school and are already bored with ourselves in all our newly acquired free time. Hand carved, hand painted Christmas ornaments catch my eye while two brothers play frisbee and revisit their hockey hay-days outside. Photos of the dogs you see below are courtesy of Josh.

I'm home for the week of Thanksgiving, spending my time exploring around some homely stomping grounds. The coastline is the most beautiful at this particular time of the year, in my personal opinion.

Catherine, Christopher and I thrifting through vinyls at my favorite record store in New Orleans during a weekend outing. If I had to guess, I was probably searching for anything by the Smiths (without much luck).

I've never been the blogger type, but have had a desire for the longest time to venture into the photo blogging community. So this is where I plan to do that. How's about a little nostalgia for starters? Meet my best friend Catherine in our small hometown sometime our junior year of high school (probably about 6 years ago).
